Writing is more important than reading.

Writing is the practice of critical thinking.

Letting your mind wander in solitude is crucial (give your mind the space and quiet it needs to process, feel, and imagine).

Intense focus is more about ruthlessly eliminating distractions than anything else (and keeping distractions eliminated long term).

No one is going to think critically for you.

No one is going to reflect and discover meaningful insight for you.

No one has a crystal ball.

No one is going to build your self awareness for you.

No one is going to save your mental and physical health for you.

No one is going to make you "happy."

Peace, contentment, and tranquility comes from within (be internally driven not externally driven).

You have to participate in your own rescue.

You have to think for yourself.

High quality, original thought requires intelligent, step by step, cumulative effort.

Your intuition significantly improves over time if and only if you're a generally focused person rather than always distracted by low quality, high stimulation irrelevance. Don't be a sucker for irrelevance.

Reading is valuable if the substance is high quality (this goes for fiction as well), otherwise not valuable, not worth it.

"Discipline" and "will power" is in large part about clarity (clear thinking).

If you think clearly, life is deeper, more meaningful, more "intentional" (even though intention and free will is an illusion).

Clarity is crucial for high quality, enduring lived experience.

Do NOT make bad situations worse than it needs to be (this goes for all things in life).

Eliminate unnecessary suffering.

Leave this broken world better than you found it.
